Belgian Beer Weekend

Day One

Collection at 7am from Kew Gardens Underground and Overground station

Crossing via Eurotunnel we travel through West Flanders to Ghent and visit Dok Brewing for a couple of beers and some lunch. We then carry on to our base in Halle and a tour of the city’s best beer cafes.


Day two

We will start the day by popping into *Brouwerij Boon for a tour and tasting before heading into Brussels by train and visiting Brasserie de l’ermitage. From here we will grab a late lunch before hitting a few more beer cafes and the beginning of the beer festival.


Day three

After breakfast we pay a visit to *Brasserie Cantillon before heading to the Grand Place for the Brewers’ Parade and then head into the beer festival itself. If we have time we will also head over to Brasserie de la Senne for one or two for the road!


Day Four

A beautiful Sunday trip out into Pajottenland where we will visit some local cafes and drop into *Oude Geuzestekerij De Cam and In De Verzekering Tegen de Grote Dorst in Eizeringen, awarded best beer bar in the world for the past 5 years.


Day five

We’ll head out to the *Brouwerij Verhaeghe in Vichte and a nearby cafe for lunch on our way back to the *Eurotunnel and our homeward journey to London.

Brilliant tour (helped by brilliant weather!). Fantastic location, so much history and diversity. Paul knows more about brewing good beer, and all the variations (including international) - than anyone I know. You are guaranteed to learn a lot - do it!
