brassigaume

october 2025

We will be visiting the beautiful Ardennes countryside, visiting the many and varied breweries of this stunning part of Wallonia. From our base in Bouillon we will also visit the International Special Beers Fest ‘Brassigaume’.

We did a 5 day tour of the Ardennes region in Belgium with Paul in October 2022, based in Bouillon. Covid had delayed the trip from 2021 for obvious reasons, but Paul kept in touch and was really helpful in us planning our trip. He was even able to include a favourite brewery of ours in the tour which made it all the more special.

From the first pick up to getting back to London, it was a great trip, with Paul’s knowledge and contacts in Belgium, making for an amazing experience. We would never have found the places he knew, but we now have some new favourites we will definitely go back to. Brewery tours in places big and small, meeting the brewers and understanding what they are trying to do with their beers, was a real privilege. The Brassigaume festival on the Saturday was a highlight.

Throughout the tour, Paul was a great host, and great company. Beer can be a serious business, but all of us in the group had some great laughs along the way. I can’t thank Paul enough for making the trip as much fun as it was, while also learning a huge amount about the beers of Belgium.

antwerp and beer passion week

june 2025

Take in both established and newer breweries in and around Antwerp with a day at Beerpassie (Beer Passion) Weekend in the heart of the city. We’ll be based in Mechelen, home of the wonderful Brouwerij Het Anker.

Took a tour of the Payottenland in Belgium with Paul, and it was probably the best beer tour I’ve ever been on – and I’ve been on a few. The breweries, bars, cafes and restaurants we visited were clearly chosen with great care to deliver tremendous experiences, Paul is a highly knowledgeable guide, and he was clearly known, and liked, by the people in charge of the places we visited. The organisation was exemplary and the whole five days ran very smoothly. I cannot reccomend AleHunters highly enough, and I shall most certainly be booking more tours with them.
